TourBuzz Service Update: Announcing our newest design "Fit"

We are excited to announce the release of our latest design, Fit. It is a single-page website style design that presents an upgraded feel relative to a slideshow. This premium experience uses responsive technology to ensure the same thematic experience from any computer or device.

It's worth noting that a big driver for this type of experience is that many users have reported success "up-selling" a tour experience like Fit to your customers as an alternative to a "traditional slideshow tour." We are certainly hopeful that this design will give you the ability to generate more revenue and out-compete your local rivals.

Notable features:

  • Prominent and aesthetically-pleasing agent branding.
  • Audio support on mobile devices.
  • No more Flash! This and all future designs will be 100% HTML5.
  • "Responsive design" for desktop, tablet, and phone, resulting in the same aesthetic experience on any platform.
  • Support for nearly all existing features such as custom links, Matterport integration, maps, walkscore, social sharing, etc.
  • The same fast-loading experience you're used to from the Tourbuzz platform.

Current limitations:

  • No support for videos, panos, or floorplans/hotspots.
  • Audio cannot be made to auto-play on mobile devices. This is a limitation imposed by the handset manufacturers and cannot be circumvented in a robust way.

I like it.  Do you plan to offer video and pano's with this design?

We are working on updating the new player to support panoramas and video files. We hope to update the player over the coming weeks.

We will keep you updated.

If you open the tour and do nothing (ie... you don't scroll down) is there any way to have the opening photo advance like a slide show? This would be a great feature and would remove the need for the slide show portion of the tour also.

We are actually working on a new design that will have that feature.  Hope to have it out in the coming weeks.  We will keep you updated.

Thanks for the feedback. It makes all the difference.

Hey Chad,  Yes, we are working on that now and will start rolling out video, panorama and floor plan support for all new designs in the coming weeks as well.

We will keep you updated.

I'd really like to start using fit, but being that you can't add the actual tours poses quite a limitation. When will this be implemented?

Comment by Paul Rodman on June 7, 2016 at 5:06pm

Hi JP,

Fit uses a different approach. There is not a slide show in Fit. We are creating more designs, one of which that will be more like the current tours rather than Fit that is a single property web site design.

The Crisp design will show the first 8 images in a slideshow and the remainder in a Gallery.

We will keep you updated on new features and Designs.

I like the single property look and am seeing other companies start to offer it, but with tours. Is there a plan to add tour capability into that?

Comment by Paul Rodman on June 7, 2016 at 5:16pm

Yes, we will have that version in the not too distant future. We will keep you updated.
