PatchMatch update - coming to Photoshop CS5!

I blogged previously about PatchMatch, a new image editing algorithm that allows you to interactively edit image contents. For example, you could easily remove trash cans or people from a photo, or even touch up areas that were obscured or missing for some reason.

Today I learned that PatchMatch tools will be part of Photoshop CS5 which frankly will make CS5 an incredibly valuable tool for real estate photographers.

I am sure someone will eventually imlement it for GIMP (as has already been done for seam carving), but for now it has just made CS5 look way more attractive!
