Every once in a while, a photographer ask about TourBuzz syndication. Syndication has become a huge industry mess.  Here is the short story and what it now means to you:

5 years ago we had a grand plan to help market individual property by creating a web page and syndicating the information to Zillow, Trulia, etc.plus several more features. Neybor was born.  We have many grand plans but at the time syndication was the killer feature.  Along comes ListHub. They cut deals with most of the MLS's to syndicate data for free. (ah the good old days when everything on the internet was free) Fast forward to today. Almost every MLS is either using ListHub or syndicating directly to the various search portals. In some cases national brokers are syndicating directly and going around the MLS completely.

The result of everyone syndicating data is that the search sites like Zillow are picking and choosing who's data they use and ignoring the other duplicate data sets.

What does this mean for you?

Its all good.  The tour link travels with the MLS data and has a tour link somewhere on the details page of the listing. Every site has a different looking listing details page.

What should you do?

Ask your local MLS board if they syndicate or use ListHub to syndicate the listings to the various search sites.

If the MLS and the broker do not syndicate the data, you can use Neybor, free of charge, to syndicate the listing. We are currently evaluating our next steps with Neybor and will keep you updated, but until then it will do what you need.

Please let us know if you have questions.  We will do our best to help make sense of this mess.
