Client and Lead Management with Bento

For the past few years we have been looking to streamline the way we manage our client information and to do so without breaking the bank. There are many services on the Internet that help with invoicing, CRM, scheduling, etc. The ones we have investigated always fell short in one area or another and seemed to be a large investment for a small company. We do all of our financials in Quickbooks which also processes credit cards and do our scheduling in Apple's calendar. It actually works quite… Continue

The real estate syndication battle is heating up

Just an FYI. Syndication is a mess. Brokers want control of the data and the major search sites want the best data they can get. Brokers are frustrated that Zillow and Trulia have made millions from Agents on the backs of the data Agents actually create. It will be an interesting battle.

We suggest you find out what your local MLS is doing For Syndication.  Please report back in the comments section

Let's get to know each other...

One of the thing's I mentioned was trying to drive more discussion in the community, and hopefully more sharing.  So I want to start my series of posts out with asking you a question:

Other than photography, what other services or products do you or your company offer?

For instance, do you provide night shots, elevated shots, aerial photography, 360 panoramas, graphic design, brochure design, property web sites, floor plans,…

TourBuzz Service Update: Hotspot Icon Selections are now persistent!

For those of you that prefer to use a non-default icon for your Floorplans, we've got a special treat for you today!

Persistent Hotspot Icon Selection

TourBuzz will now remember the last hotspot icon you used for each media type. This is done via a browser cookie, so the persistence is per-browser, but that shouldn't be a big problem. We were hesitant to push this to the database as we weren't sure whether it should be a user setting or an account setting.…

FREE WEBINAR TONIGHT - A shared experience webinar - 5PM PT. Create spheres for your Tours w/ Lightroom & PTGUI. 10 spots left in the webinar - Email us - I will send you an invitation.  Spheres are a great way of adding value for clients.  A one image tour of a sphere w/ hotspots & links is really great to sell for your commercial clients as well.  This is not a sales pitch, just an FYI webinar of friends who have similar issues.

A New Chapter

I am honored to take over the position of the Tourbuzz Fellow and to share my experience in operating and growing my business over the past few years.  We've been involved with Tourbuzz for over two years and have found the community forums a great way to share information and knowledge.

A little about me: A proud Penn State grad (yes, there are still a few of us...), I joined the Federal Government right out of college and worked in the Defense Department for 17 years,…

Magic Lantern: Professional Hacker Software for Canon DSLRs

As one of the geeky programmer types at TourBuzz, I've always wanted to be able to tweak the built-in software on my Canon T3i DSLR. There are so many things the camera almost does well, but end up being really clunky or impossible due to limited firmware.

The open-source community has created an amazing project called Magic Lantern that drastically extends the capabilities of Canon DSLR's with customized firmware. The…
