I hope everyone knows you can provide Voice Over on TourBuzz. We support Voice over for the entire tour replacing the Music or the individual images. All you need to do is upload an MP3 file with the Voice Over.

If you have the talent or want to try to create a Voice Over you can use this free software to record the MP3 file.

There are also services online that can do the Voice Over for you.

Anyone have any experience getting Voice Over done? Is it requested often? What is the upcharge?

I do. I have created several voice tracks for gas stations. You know the voice you here when you walk in the door. I have also done voice for video tours. I get it quite often.
I was actually just going to post this question.

Tourfactory currently offers this in 30sec ($49.95) & 90sec ($84.99) choices for it's customers and they get to choose either a male or female voice I think. I don't really think I want or have any desire to have my voice be the voice over but I wouldn't mind paying someone else to do it.

So how 'bout it? Anyone interested in offering voice over services for the Tourbuzz network? My original thought was that the agent provides the script and I'd arrange the voice over and upload it for them. What would be a fair rate for both the client to pay the dealer and what would be a fair rate for the person doing the voice overs?
Here are a couple of tours I did with voice. One has a novice actor, but the home tour I did not want to pay anyone so just put my own voice to it. I'll put my services to work if anyone happens to like my voice. I don't, but yo9u know how it is listening to your own voice.
opps, forgot to post the links

I provide Narration for our Tours as well. I usually charge $45.00 for 4 scenes or 2minutes of Captivating Voiced Audio. I always have the client write the script, or just dictate from the MLS or Realtor.com home descriptions. Here is a link that I did Voice-over for: http://tours.hotshotpros.com/public/vtour/display/3376?a=1

I love doing it and setup my studio for less than $300, using a closet in my office and a bunch of freeware. I plan on upgrading my recording hardware and software very soon though.

I would be happy to do it for anybody at a low price. I also have a female voice available to do voiceover.
What would be a rate that would be both equitable for you but also gives a dealer the ability to mark it up slightly without being over-priced? I'd like to keep it marketable, most of my potential clients would be used to the Tourfactory rates I listed above.

Nathan, I didn't hear your voice in the one above, just background music.

Carlisle, this goes for you too, what would be an acceptable rate? If you guys would rather keep rates private from the rest of the internet, keep it in the Providers group blog or message it to me and anyone else interested.

The easiest way I see this working is to have a contact box on your guys' websites and anyone hiring your services can go on there, submit the text, and pay through Paypal or credit card.

What would be cool is if Alan or Paul could set up some kind of credit exchange where we can pay for voice-over services by transferring credits for a small premium. For example, if it turns out to be about $20/min for voice overs we can transfer 2 credits to the dealer providing the voice-over, if for some reason someone doesn't want to paypal the money over.
I would certainly be willing to work something out. Unfortunately the absolute lowest that I could go on Voice-over tours is about $40 per minute of audio. I am working on getting a Credit Card and Order Buttons on my site, but as for now, I usually send an invoice and get CC info over the phone.

The audio should have played with the music on the tour: http://tours.hotshotpros.com/public/vtour/display/3376?a=1 , I checked it on my computers and at the library. If you wouldn't mind, please try it again and let me know if it still doesn't work. If it doesn't, I'll have to mix the Music and the Narration together in MP3.
Works fine for me, Windows XP with IE7.
Thanks Jerry

I've been "broadcasting" in the public sector for almost twenty years (9-1-1 dispatcher for the State Police) and have been told I've got a very soothing voice....albeit with a slight southern drawl :) Even did a training video for OnStar that went out to over 3000 law enforcement agencies across the country, so I must be doing something right.

I might be interested in providing a service to the TourBuzz community at a fair rate as a means to enhance my revenue stream as I launch my real estate photography business.

You can try voice123.com

Just caught this thread. Don't know why I didn't see it (or think of it) before, but if someone is looking for voiceover work for tours, I'm game. Prior to my career change to RE Photography I was a full-time radio announcer and producer... Production Manager for 10+ years voicing upwards of a couple hundred radio spots per year.

I also still have contact with a couple of other pro radio voice talents (female and male) and I'd be willing to contact them regarding interest and what they might charge for a per tour narration. Though I'm not particularly interested in writing the scripts (just too busy with RE photography and other web development work I do), I would love to do voice work from my home studio.

Over the next couple of weeks I'll put a few samples together. Hey, maybe I could even get a stable of several narration voices together as a small side service so you all have one more easy upsell for your Tourbuzz tours. It's got me thinking!

Send me a private message if you think you may have interest.

P.S. - Though I'm capable of doing the 'yucked up deejay radio voice", my voicing style for broadcast has always been natural, conversational style. And likewise the colleagues I may try to recruit.

Cheers,

Joel
