Thanks everyone for another productive meeting.

Agenda for Virtual Meeting II

1. What marketing did you try since the last meeting? What worked? What did not?
2. Chris Thomas - What has worked and has not to reach new clients since recently launching his new company
3. Share e-mail blast messages and how/who to send them - 3rd party providers protect your e-mail from black list
4. Subject matter experts. Are you an expert with any particular hardware/software and are you willing to help others?
5. Update TourBuzz Design? A few people have suggested changing the design. One of those is posted here: http://community.tourbuzz.net/forum/topics/new-viewer-question
6. General technology questions or comments
7. Short company update

Hello All,

Since the feedback from the Virtual Meeting were very positive, we decided to try it again. Last month we discussed Marketing and Photography.

This month I wanted to discuss results from last months meeting and see what other topics you wanted to discuss.

Please add your thoughts below.

Thanks

Paul, I would probably suggest you structure the meeting a little more. If someone posts or emails you that they have something they would like to share, bring them in as a guest speaker rather than just waiting for them to jump in. Direct the flow of the meeting with a schedule a bit more than the last meeting. With that said, anyone reading this, help Paul out by leaving your comments or email him your ideas you'd like to share.

We've discussed targeting top-tier agents versus everyone, but I've got some information on reaching new clients for those photographers just starting out. I spent the last six months sending out email campaigns, cold-calling agents, paper flyers (what a waste of money that was), and even offering to shoot some houses for free. I've developed a new method of getting my name out there that seems to be working fairly well. I picked up 3 clients from less than 2 hours on Sunday alone with this new technique. Of course my skills have developed over the last six months which is making it a little easier also.
Thanks Chris, I totally agree with your comment and that is the reason for this discussion. We need all of you, the photographers, to be the content of the Virtual Meetings. Alan and I just want to create an opportunity for you to ask questions and share knowledge.

So let us know what you want to talk about and we will help facilitate.

Thanks,

Paul
Let me know what you think of this idea. It was sparked by a photographer that had a very specific question about a specific tripod head. One of the other TourBuzz photographers had mentioned they use it so I made the connection - hope it works out.

I think it would be helpful if you have experience with a particular piece of hardware or software to post that experience in your profile so it could be searched. Having an expert to go to could save the community hundreds of hours. I'm not really talking about reviews but more about experience with the hardware/software set up you use.

Thoughts....
Is there any way to set the "auto" spin speed a little faster?
Yes. You can go into the Info tab and half way down the page change the setting for Panning Time. Try moving it to 60 and see what you think.
Paul there are many that would agree the viewer needs more "sex appeal" but left to each photoprapher in this forum we would all likely suggest something different. Are we looking at this from the perspective of a photographer or the end user - the Real Estate agent, home buyer and home seller? I would suggest you guys post a sample tour from each of the the leading tour providers, we all view them and rank them along with specific features. The next step could be a focus group made up of agents and have them tell us what they want and need. The more we look at this from the end user's perspective the more successful providers will be. I would say most of my business is conducted from a seller or agent's perspective. If left up to the photographers, everytime a new technology or new product comes out we'll want that enhancement or change.

I like Chris' idea about the meeting. With so many people on the call to many are talking over eachother.

Thanks Mike
