There have been a few similar topics here, but I thought it would be interesting to conduct a little survey on how much time you're spending on processing your images.  Obviously the Tourbuzz virtual tour software cuts down significantly on the workflow for virtual tours, but I would like to know how much time you are spending on processing the images and getting them to your clients.

So, let's hear it!  Reply to this topic by answering the following two questions.  It'll be interesting if nothing else - but hopefully we can learn a few good tricks!

1. How much time do you spend processing your images starting with offloading your memory cards to delivering the images to your client? (This includes loading the images on to your computer, selecting the images to process, whatever processing/editing you do, burning and mailing a CD or uploading them to an online service such as Tourbuzz, Smugmug, etc for your client to download.)  Do NOT include stitching panoramics here.  Do NOT include building a virtual tour here.

2. What software do you use for still photo processing?

3. How much time do you spend stitching panoramics?

4. What software do you use for stitching?

5. How much time do you spend creating the virtual tour (after all the above steps are complete)?  For a new client and for an existing client?

1. About an hour per house

2. Lightroom and PS5

3. Not much because I do it while I auto exposure blend. Maybe 10 min.

4. PTGui

5. 5 min.

1. 45 minutes- 1 hour

2. DXO 7.0 & PSE 9 if necessary

3. 10 minutes - 45 minutes

4. Autopano Pro 2.6 - and sometimes Photoshop Elements 9.0 if they don't quite work in Autopano

5. includes titling slides, resizing for Tourbuzz, uploading and reorganizing. 30-45 minutes. Existing. For a new client, I would set up the branding, which can take 10-30 minutes depending on how many colors I change on the template.

How about you?

1. 30 images about 60 minutes. Just did 38 images with upload to tourbuzz in 65 minutes, including naming.

2. LR 3.5 to manage and organize then DXO 6.5 for raw and straightening then back into LR3.5 as a DNG from DXO's processing for final tweeks and sharpening. CS6 if needed.

3. About 3-8 minutes or less per pano.

4. Autodesk Stitcher unlimited.

5. New client about 5 minutes gathering logos and office info, then about <10 minutes to tweak the tour, music, order, video slideshow tweaks per tour.

It took 65 minutes to upload to TourBuzz? That seems like an extraordinarily long time! Was that all just upload time on a slow connection? Anything we could do to speed this up for you?
