I know some of you have tried Exposio. Please let us know your thoughts.

They have approached us about adding their system into the TourBuzz work flow.

Thanks for the feedback.

I like the idea and have looked at Exposio previously, but am undecided if their service would add any extra value to my workflow techniques. Stated differently, Exposio seems to do what every photographer using HDR is already doing - processing images in the computer - for a fee. Whether that convenience justifies an added expense for the photographer is another discussion entirely.

Just my $0.02.....your mileage may vary.

I agree w/ John.  The service doesn't really save me any time at all.  It's just as easy to batch my bracketed files and evaluate them when the process is complete.  If there's an issue, I am at the helm and can correct it without the additional time of contacting a third party.

I think that someone very new to the industry may benefit though... but again, it is an added expense and may hinder their profits.

I think their argument is that their process is better than what you can do with LR/Photomatix/etc. I am not sure how likely that is, though...

I tested out Exposio and and have a couple thoughts...

First, it is a nice idea - but after checking it out it seems like it would be much more suited to a REALTOR or end user.  It's basically dumbing down the HDR process and gives pretty nice results, but lacks the control most photographers would want to have.

Second, it's conceivable you could get good-enough results with it and marginally speed up your workflow, but you're adding cost to every project rather than paying once for the software you use.

My personal feeling is that I get better results and nearly just as quick with the Enfuse and Enblend plugin with Lightroom.  If I was a real estate agent who wasn't going to hire a professional photographer and wanted to invest the time to do the photography and HDR work myself, then I might look at Exposio.

Just my 2 cents. :)
